Festival merch built on a workwear backbone... Swedish heritage stamped on gear made to be worn hard.

The Role | Illustrator/Designer

For several years, I've partnered with Fristads Kansas to create exclusive merchandise for Sweden Fest, an annual music festival that attracts thousands of attendees from across the region. These limited-edition designs are sold exclusively at the event, giving the brand a unique opportunity to connect with an audience far beyond its traditional workwear market.

The project allows me to blend my love of typography, illustration, and music culture into wearable pieces that resonate with both tradespeople and festival-goers alike.

The Challenge

Fristads Kansas didn't want another piece of branded merchandise. They wanted artwork that spoke directly to the people who build, weld, fabricate, repair, and create for a living. Something you'd expect to see hanging in a workshop rather than on a trade show banner.

By combining ornate vintage typography, industrial iconography, and influences from heavy metal and tattoo culture, I created a collection of designs that celebrate the pride, grit, and identity of skilled tradespeople. Each piece was designed to feel more like a poster you'd keep than a shirt you'd wear once.
